Case study: Health Net of California

Health Net of California turned to Arévalo Sánchez to launch Mexi-Plan, the first cross-border Individual Family Plan available on the market.  Goals for the launch included:
  • Generating sales leads
  • Positioning Health Net as the leader in providing products and services to the Latino community
  • Educating Latinos on the physical and fiscal importance of health insurance

Arévalo Sánchez’s plan blended community relations, government relations and media outreach, including:

  • A pre-launch reception at Los Angeles City Hall for nearly 200 community leaders, health care partners, elected officials and Health Net’s leadership, co-hosted by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Rubén Beltrán, Consul General of Mexico. 
  • A press conference at the Mexican Consulate.  International coverage from more than 20 general market and Latino media outlets in attendance generated 8.2 million impressions. 
  • The team’s PR efforts generated thousands of sales leads for Health Net’s Mexi-Plan.
